ASTRO BOY - Monday 27th june Part 2

SCREENING PART TWO - Monday 27th June

Pinocchio-like animated adventure about a boy robot who becomes a hero in Metro City, that develops human like qualities.

After his son dies, a brilliant scientist tries to recreate the boy by building the most human robot imaginable. But deep down he knows this isn't really his son, and when Astro discovers that he isn't human and does have superpowers, he ends up out on his own. Soon, though, he is making new friends - and is ready to save the day when Metro City needs a new hero. This computer-animated adventure mixes plenty of action with a sweet and touching story.

Lost and Found

Welcome back Film and Animation club!!!

On Monday 8th May we will be showing a new film called Lost and Found originally written by Oliver Jeffers, you can find out more about him on his website http://www.oliverjeffers.com/

Lost and Found tells the tale of a boy who wakes up one day to find a penguin on his doorstep. The two embark on an adventure together as the boy becomes determined to help the penguin get home - even if it means rowing all the way to the South Pole. The film was very well received and a creative film review for this film can be read on https://www.creativereview.co.uk/cr-blog/2008/december/lost-and-found-film-oliver-jeffers-prints. Now lets see what you think? Can you write a constructive film review?

WOW!! Monday 14th March is our first ever screening as film and animation club. We look forward to meeting all our new members.

Film Club aims to inspire children and young people to delve into the universe of film. Our intention of our new club is for us to explore a variety of films and media over the term in order to arouse curious minds and ultimately enrich children’s experiences of film and theatre. Here is the website link www.filmclub.org you can visit for further information.

The club will take place after school once a week on a Monday evening at 3.30 – 4.30 in Miss Tuttles classroom. The first film we will be showing is March Of The Penguins. So get your film review hats on and let's watch the film with 'open eyes' together. You will receive your passwords and lanyards once parental permission slips have been handed in.

See you tomorrow,

We really enjoyed doing our flip book animations today and we have added the link below as requested http://www.benettonplay.com/toybox.php and the password and user name we have supplied for you at the club today, so let's see what super flip-books you can create!! (Come and see us if you have forgotten).

Now over the past few weeks we have been very busy with our digital blue animations and I will try to upload some of these onto the site. In the meantime here is the link for the super hero comic book maker http://www.artisancam.org.uk/flashapps/superactioncomicmaker/index.php so you can have another go at creating your own comics at home.
